My Saffire Makover

I don't get excited by paint, or throw pillows. :) But I can say that I do get excited by new BBQ grill toys, like different flavored wood chips, accessories, or like this weekend, upgrade parts.

My bamboo was looking a little the worse for wear, so I upgraded to 304 stainless side shelves and a 304 stainless handle. The difference is just unvelievable (excuse my poor patio maintenance lol). The stainless is covered with a lifetime warranty, and just glows in comparison to the bamboo. I don't have the logo on the front anymore, but that's ok. It just looks gorgeous. And if I wanted to see the logo, all I'd have to do is take a picture like this...

Of course, I could also learn to take better pictures lol.

SMOKING TIPS

#1

Make sure you have enough charcoal. Fill your firebox all the way to where the firebox meets the fire ring.

#2

Make sure you leave the dome up and the bottom vent open until the fire is going good.

#3

A remote meat thermometer is your friend. I use a Maverick myself and it tracks the heat of whatever I'm cooking and my grill temperature, with an alarm to let me know if the fire gets too hot and when the meat is finished.
